Assembly

CAUTION! DANGER OF FIRE! Assemble

and use the product on a ﬁre-resistant surface only.

The following tools are required for

assembly:

7 x Open spanners (1 x 8 mm, 2 x 10 mm,

2 x 14 mm, and possibly 2 x 17 mm)

2 x Allen key

1 x Slotted head screwdriver (approx. 5 mm)

Follow these steps:

j Fasten the saddle

on to the base plate

with the hexagonal socket head screws

and washers

(see Fig. A).

j Fasten the handle

on to the mount

with

the projecting screw thread and the corresponding

nut (see Fig. A).

Note: Please bear in mind that the angle

grinder must be ﬁtted with a suitable cutting

disc before assembly. It is not possible to

change the disc with the angle grinder installed

in the stand.

j Now mount the angle grinder in the mount

Note: At this point, ﬁrst check the size of the

handle thread of your angle grinder. It may be

M6, M8 or M10.

j Then place the corresponding mounting bolts

, washers

and matching nuts

, distance pieces

and plastic

bushings

to one side, ready for use.

j Insert the necessary plastic bushings

into the mounting pieces

(see Fig. B).

Note: Ensure that the size of the plastic bush-

ings

matches the required mounting

bolts

. Plastic bushings are not required

for mounting bolts M10

j Screw the matching mounting bolt

through the rear mounting piece

(see Fig. B).

j Fasten the rear mounting piece

in place by

tightening the corresponding size of nut

on the mounting bolt

(i.e. by

turning it in the direction of the mounting piece

)

(see Fig. B).

j Insert the adjustment screw

through the bot-

tom hole and the adjustment screw

through

the top hole of the mount

. Note that later

the rubber buﬀers of these screws must lie

against the angle grinder housing.

Note: First insert these screws so that the rubber

buﬀers lie directly against the mount

j Now push the plastic locating pieces

of the

mounting pieces

on to the guide of the

mount

(Figure B).

j Then attach the mounting pieces

through the plastic locating pieces

with the

hexagonal socket head screws

in the elon-

gated holes in the mount

(see Fig. A).

j Place the desired distance piece

the mounting bolt

and washer

on to the front mounting piece

(see Fig. D).

Note: The three distance pieces

are of diﬀerent lengths. Choose the distance

piece

of the most appropriate length.

Note: Set the distance piece

that the cutting disc cannot come into contact

with the workbench / table below the base

plate

(see Figure E).

j Screw the matching mounting bolt

through the front mounting piece

j Fasten the front mounting piece

in place by

tightening the corresponding size of nut

on the mounting bolt

(i.e. by

turning it in the direction of the mounting piece

j Now set the adjustment screws

so that

the angle grinder is aligned at right angles to

the base plate

and ﬁrmly attached to the

mount

j After slightly loosening the hexagonal socket

head screws

, adjust the saddle

so that

the cutting disc of the angle grinder lowers into

centre of the slot provided in the base plate

j Now attach the safety guard

. To do this

push the safety guard

on to the metal rod

and fasten it in place with the nut

(see Fig. C).

j Now insert the metal rod

into the corre-

sponding opening in the mount

and fasten

it in place with the nut

and the mounting

bolt

(see Fig. C).

j Always keep the angle grinder’s mains lead in

place using the clip

j After assembly is complete, switch the angle

grinder on for a few seconds and then switch it
